Messing Housing Development Officially Opened
Hastoe Housing Association and Messing cum Inworth Parish Council officially opened a new affordable housing development for the local people of Messing on Friday, 11th of November
The housing scheme, officially opened by Rt. Hon. Priti Patel MP and Chair of Messing cum Inworth Parish Council, David Smith, is made up of two properties; 1 x 2 bedded home and a 1 x 3 bedded home – both built with support from the Homes and Communities Agency. Both properties are affordable rented and built to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4, which exceeds current building regulation standards. Both homes have been fitted with air source heat pumps, so will benefit from lower energy costs. They were designed and constructed by Granville Developments.
Speaking about the scheme opening, Sue Chalkley, Hastoe’s Chief Executive said: “We are delighted to be delivering these much-needed affordable homes for local people in Messing cum Inworth.
“Affordable homes like these, which are also energy efficient and low cost to run, allow people who live or work in our villages to continue to contribute to their communities, bring their children up in security and see the village thrive into the long term.”
